As we walk alongside Cape Hauy, the promontory narrows and the views get better and better. Massive dolerite cliffs descend vertically into the ocean on both aspect, making this an thrilling walk to complete on. Eventually the trail begins heading east along the cliff tops and we descend onto the Cape Raoul plateau.
Continue on Coles Bay Road for 28km, driving through the Coles Bay township on a sealed street. The trailhead for the Peninsula Circuit walk is located approximately 4km additional into the park from the Visitor Centre. The turn-off to the Friendly Beaches section of the park is via a gravel road, about 9km after leaving the Tasman Highway.
